A andysat Lifer Jan 3, 2011 #1 Hi all-took car out today in 2 degree temp,but for the first 10 mins or so the tappets sounded noisy(tapping/clicking)-i realise the oil has to circulate round the engine,but do they take this long before the tapping stops?-2006 2.0 -thanks

I IvanDobskey Member Jan 4, 2011 #2 I don't notice any tapping from cold on my 2.5 litre. Could just be down to it being a different engine though?
