This happened on my first Z4, need to find that cheap online replacement one now.

I got replacement mirror from Halfords believe it or not.

That happened to both my mirrors over the course of the winter, seems to be a common issue. Would you believe BMW quoted me upwards of £80 for a replacement! Got one from Ebay instead.

Couple of very faint black marks I was able to polish out - so I was lucky!

Checked the drivers side? Mine was wobbly 2 years ago. Bit of sealant and solid as a rock ever since.
