The Black Swan pub will be having their monthly classic car and bike meet that we often tag along to next Sunday. As it is an outdoor venue it only works if it is dry so I'll be checking the forecast.

Full details are The Black Swan, Old Lane, Ockham, Surrey. KT11 1NG. Phone: 01932 862364. (Old Lane is a turning off the slip-road onto the Southbound A3 just after J10 of the M25). They open at 08.30 for breakfast, bacon rolls, tea and coffee so any time after that works fine and entry is free, although they often take voluntary charity donations.

We usually meet up at Ockham Bites (KT11 1NA) at the beginning of Old Lane around 08.00 for a coffee, bacon butty, etc. to avoid the potentially long catering queues at the Black Swan but we still always seem to end up in the field. Even if going later it's probably still worth a stop at Ockham Bites anyway.

I plan to be at Ockham Bites at 8am unless it is raining - in which case I'll have a lie-in!

If anyone hasn't been before there is a huge variety of cars there and photos on previous threads for this event. I didn't post anything for the August one as it was the same day as Zedfest!

I might pop along to this along with a fellow Z4 owner. We are just over in Twickenham so easy to get there!

Just to mention with the current weather situation the grass parking area is likely to be boggy to say the least unless one or two days before are dry and warmer.

I can announce that the event will go ahead as planned. We will be holding a minutes silence to remember our Queen Elizabeth and hope everyone will join in that memorial moment.

A good morning and some lovely regular Zed’s and other BMWs amongst the diverse display. Next meet October 9.

Nice to meet everyone. Field was fine a little damp but no problem if you were easy on the 'go' peddle!

A nice Maldives Blue just out of picture. Who’s was that?

Yes it was a good meet, although when I left home it was really misty so I wasn't sure how it would work out but the field was OK.

And the blue car definitely wasn't a Z4 - possibly a big Austin Healey, but I was parked at the other end of our cars!

Did look for you guys before we left MRT - good to meet you both though and look forward to a few more meet ups.

We were chatting near the corner of the car park near the tea bar when you left but were too far away to catch you!

But is was good to meet you too, and hopefully there will be a few more meets this year.
