The Black Swan pub will be having their monthly classic car and bike meet that we usually tag along to on Sunday week for anyone who fancies an early drive out in their Z4. For the benefit of anyone who hasn't been before it is very weather dependent as it's an outdoor meet - and last month was very wet! Plus we usually end up in the field so soggy isn't good.

Full details are The Black Swan, Old Lane, Ockham, Surrey. KT11 1NG. Phone: 01932 862364. (Old Lane is a turning off the slip-road onto the Southbound A3 just after J10 of the M25).

They open at 08.30 for breakfast, bacon rolls, tea and coffee so any time after that works fine.

But we usually meet up at Ockham Bites (KT11 1NA) at the beginning of Old Lane around 08.00 for a coffee, bacon butty, etc. to avoid the potentially long catering queues at the Black Swan! That way we should get to park together at the Black Swan by arriving around 08.30.

If anyone wants to turn up a bit later then just go straight to the Black Swan. Some people start leaving around 10 although others are still arriving, but it's usually pretty much over by 11.30 as they start to focus on their lunch-time trade.

Quick bump for this. Current weather forecast is showing it will be dry.

Nice to see you Mr Tidy - been a long time (I think we actually both had 3.0sis back then?)!

Nice to meet yo too Tony, good to put a name to a face and I hope you made it over to Brooklands in good time!

You're right Ed, I think we did have 3.0Sis last time I saw you - it must have been more than 2 years ago.

Thinking about it you did see my Ruby Black one - you Spotted it at TWG!

So I was "Billy No Mates" this morning at Ockham Bites, but at least Tony was in his Z4 today at the Black Swan!

Still I did find another Z in the field.

It looks like they also lose the covers for the headlight washers - standard feature on Z models I suppose.
I spoke to the owner briefly and he said he had owned it since new.

Then I spotted another interesting BMW, although the owner admitted it wasn't an original but that suited him because he wouldn't have modified it for about 350bhp if it was.

A couple of non-German cars that I haven't seen there before also caught my eye.

First was a Ford Classic Capri with a Lotus twin-cam. Has to be the best looking Capri ever!

Then a Maserati Khamsin.
