Now we're into December it seems like a good time to mention the regular general car/bike meets at the Black Swan in Ockham that some of us have attended, as the next one will be on Sunday 9 December.

Full details are The Black Swan, Old Lane, Ockham, Surrey. KT11 1NG. Phone: 01932 862364. (Old Lane is a turning off slip-road onto the Southbound A3 just after J10 of the M25).

They open at 08.30 for breakfast, bacon rolls, tea and coffee so any time after that will be fine.

I plan to get there around 9 - assuming the weather is OK. Fingers crossed!

Last minute bump - it's actually supposed to be dry tomorrow!

Sorry can’t make it tomorrow Iain due to another social engagement - so see you at PH next week instead!

Well the car park was full today, so I thought I'd just put a few photos here to show the variety of what turns up. Sadly no Z4s, but there were only 3 of us and 1 went in his MX5!

By way of a bit of advance notice the next one will be on 13 January.

Good photos and yes it was very well attended. Let's hope many more zeds will join in January and throughout 2019.

I was there until about 9sih. I kinda wish I stayed a bit longer, but will be going again in the new year. I was parked next to the R8 at the end from just after 8.15am

Shame I missed you - I didn't arrive until about 9.30. (I try to avoid early on Sundays)!

Might catch up next Sunday if you get far enough up the list!

Funny that you mention being next to the R8 - I was more interested in the 1967 Humber Imperial you were also parked next to as my best mate's Dad had a 1963 Humber Super Snipe when we were at primary school. So yes, I'm getting old!

They actually came in together!

For me, my classic love with always be the series 2, Daimler Double Six VP. My dad restored one over a 5 or so year period from when I was a young boy into a bratty teenager. Always had a massive soft spot for them ever since.

Shame you left quite early - I tnink you may have missed the yellow XJ Coupe (although it was "only" a 4.2).

Yeah, the XJ Coupe is really rare as a V12 sadly, still one of the most beautiful salon shapes of the 60's and 70's
