Surrey/Berks/Hants Meet - 08.30, Sunday 11 April 2021 at Ockham Bites.

It's just an idea, but with the revised Covid regulations coming into force tomorrow I don't think we would be infringing those if up to 6 of us met up outdoors with distancing, etc.

And I know the Ockham Bites cafe (where we always met before going to the Black Swan) was open last week when I met up there with my nephew to go for a walk, so I was thinking maybe a meet there for breakfast at 8.30 and a drive to Newlands Corner might finally get up to 6 of us out of the house for something other than shopping!

Updated now this is happening! Ockham Bites postcode is KT11 1NA, Newlands Corner is GU4 8SE.

In view of current Covid regulations I don't want to fall foul of the Rule of Six, so this time will keep a list of those confirmed so far - and if anyone needs to drop out it would be helpful if they would let me know, just in case anyone wanting to go doesn't get into the first 6 places!

What a great sounding idea. The 4th May work for me, just need to check on logistics as we’re having our kitchen ripped out a couple of days later and I’m not sure what is being allocated to my ‘to do list’.

As there has been limited interest so far, the 4th is getting close now, a possible issue with it being Easter, previous ones have always been the 2nd Sunday of the month anyway and my Z4 now needs a new battery.

So since it looks like 11 April might be a better option I've changed the thread title! Plus those locations might be a bit quieter than on a Bank Holiday weekend.

Still planning on an 8.30 start at Ockham Bites (KT11 1NA) so we could get to Newlands Corner (GU4 8SE) before the shoppers leave home, although the dog walkers and Lycra bikers will already be out. :lol:

Hopefully we can get 6 Z4s there!

I doubt we would be at Newlands before 09.30, but I'm sure we'd still be there at 10.00 if that worked better for you.

This sounds like a great idea! I’d be happy to come along on 11/4 and and can make it to the breakfast location - so that’s a firm yes from me. It would also be my first ever Z4 meet - exciting times!

I’m in, may need to peel off at some point to get to a meet up my wife has organised but I can certainly make breakfast and a bit of a drive to NC. Look forward to meeting you on 11th.

It was only the early start put me off, but then I read some reviews of the bacon butties at Ockham Bites. This trip might even take the Z over 500 miles since I bought her in August!
