HEL always receive good reviews. See thread below for some guidance on what to order for a 3.0si (be sure to read it all as I think he found he needed to switch a grommet around on the order).

I presume you mean on the front calipers? (I also have performance on the rear)
On the front I use the ones that were supplied by ECS tuning.
So the ones that are in this kit:

On full droop these are also pretty tight but I guess still long enough.
I don't know what the exact lenght is though.

Actually I'm beginning to doubt myself.
I found a pic where I clearly put a Hel line on:
And it looks in the previous pic that the little yellow HEL tag is on the chassis side, so I probably moved that :dizzy:
I have no idea what I'm using exactly. I see in my records that I bought a HEL set once for £70 with label bmw-4-631, with probably 4 lines (so 2x front and the 2 most rear ones I guess) and that maybe I use the ECS supplied ones also on the rear to make up the other sections?
I have pictures that on the most rear ones are also hel tags.
My guess is I probably bought this kit and that I use the front ones on the front. (and the rear is a mix of all sorts of parts (some custom) due to the rear calipers are very different.
I want to redo the rear lines someday anyway because the rear performancecalipers should have a banjobolt ideally on an adapter.

With me they work. I obviously checked lock to lock (I think the above picture is pretty much full lock)
But maybe for the coupe there are slight differences? Of maybe you have different lines?
You've mounted the calipers the right way? so that the line-input goes up?
Having any force put on the line is something you don't want for certain.
I know I was fiddeling too back then too because of lenght (as I said I was under the impression that I used the ECS lines due to lenght), but the pictures suggest that I got the HEL lines to fit. I bought the lines because I didn't know the ECS kit already came with lines. I also clearly remember that I preferred the HEL lines because they have stainless fittings and the other ones where plated, but I cant remember the exact details of fitting and fiddelling. It's a long time ago.

Yes, they are mounted the correct way! Still they aren`t a Perfect fit... I searched a little for HEL lines, and there are lot of different parts number for the Z4. This is strange.... Should be very similar, actually it should be just the M that can be any different in my mind!
I just have to buy a set and see if it will fit
