Supplier of E86 Black Kidney Grilles?

Hi everyone, looking to swap my OEM chrome grilles to black inner / chrome surround.

Can anyone link me to a reputable seller? There seems to be many outlets on EBay, but judging the quality by some low resolution imagery is proving challenging. :roll: :lol:

I was in same dilemma and struggled to find gloss black with chrome surround (which I think is standard on the M but not sure). I went for straight gloss black thinking I could use the chrome trim off my existing silver ones but alas it doesn’t fit, so now I just have gloss black. Not sure I am that keen on it...think I miss the chrome trim.

They're all pretty much the same. It's just a piece of plastic that clips in.

My gloss black ones fit fine. Not as perfect as the oem grilles, but perfectly fine.

But the chrome trim often doesn’t clip into aftermarket ones if you are looking to retain that. That was the issue I had.

I was referring to the quality of the grilles. If I wanted good quality oem style grilles with gloss black slats and chrome trim, I would paint my own, rather than try and bodge an aftermarket set.

Tbh, I didn’t know self paining was an option. I may attempt that

of course its an option .. its what i did, chrome unclips so spray the middle let dry and put back in the following day

Black plasti dip spray? That way you can always change it back!
