Sunny Days...Coke can blew up in my car.

Its been very hot here (NJ-USA) the last couple of weeks, 90+, high humidity. Yesterday I get in my car to go home from work and I see a coke can that my idiot self left in the cup holder (unopened)

It looked like someone opened it with a can opener, i already figured the damage was done but it was pretty funny to see the can that way. I need to take a picture of it.

Anyways, my point, Any body have any suggestions or products, besides leaving the windows cracked, on how to keep the cabin cool. I guess a solar shield would work but the hatch area also needs protection.

It would be nice if there was a way to circulate your air intermittently, I worry about my leather drying itself out/or fading at those temperatures.

That's why no drinks in the Zed! :slaphead:

You can get one of those covers that covers only the top of the car and the windows. I think they sell it at roadstersolutions.

I once saw at Brookstone these plastic, solar-powered tabs with a built-in fan. You put them on the top of the window, close the window, and the solar panels run the fans. I wonder if they sell that anymore.

I'll look into the brookstone gadget, as I've seen truckers use something similar when they are resting so they don't use all their fuel to keep the cabin cool.

As for the top half car cover, I know its designed for the roadster, has anyone tried to fit this on the coupe? The hatch area might not fit properly.

It's only a car takedown8 - so what if drinks spill in it. :idunno:

Damn, that sucks. That is why: NO DRINKS OR FOOD IN THE Z!!! Keep it simple, but in the event you need to drink in the Z, make it water or tea, no carbon = no explosion!

Then you have to clean it up. :withstupid:

So what if you have to clean it up. It is just a car - so enjoy it. Bad things will happen even if you leave it in you garage and never use it....

6 yr old thread revived ??? :tumbleweed:

I think some people need to get out more rather than replying to a 6 year old thread and expecting a response. :D

I missed the 6 year old date. I need to stay in not go out. House buying is v expensive, just been looking through Laura Ashley catalogue for furnishings...I didn't realise how much stuff was!
