Sun Visor Rattle!!!

Noticeable in colder weather but both the drivers and passengers rattle/buzz when the car goes over any rough ground. The rattle/buzzing sound disappears if I lower the visors while driving but that's not a good look when its raining and cold lol.

Has anyone had the same problem or know a solution to this really annoying problem?

My drivers side one has a slight creak over bumps, as you say moving it down slightly stops the noise.

I haven't tried putting any products on the visor or pivots to see if they shut the noise up - perhaps some felt tactically placed would work but may be a bit unsightly.

Took mine off yesterday, as the cheap tacky noise when I flipped them up was really annoying me.

I'd previously tried draught excluder and rubber pads but wasn't keen on them not closing fully.

So I took them off (4 screws) & sat them on the the lounge radiator to warm for an hour and then carefully bent down the outer (farthest from rear view mirror) edges so that the whole visor now evenly matches & "thumps" against the screen frame when flicked up.

I think this may also solve your rattling issues, but take it easy & ensure that the mirrors still slide evenly.

Sounds like a pretty good plan but my rattle I'm sure is coming from inside the plastic casing that holds the roof latch etc. how do you get to that part?

Well the rattle is still there and is bugging the crap out of me! I've tried bending the visors slightly which helps but when the car is cold they rattle almost constantly.

Having them lowered stops the rattle, has anyone got some solutions?
