What a load of poofs :P

Z4 heaters are BLOODY good, heated seats from t'other side, a jumper and a scarf and you are away.

Dave

Poofs? Heated seats?

Pot/kettle mate :poke:

Put the sunvisor down and turn on the defroster and the warm air get directed onto your hands...

No top down for me today as I am snow bound. 18 inches/45.5cm fresh snow with 30 to 40 mph winds... :!:

I must be a poof then, still got my hardtop on.My car sits outside on the drive most of the time as ( at the moment) it's not my daily driver,so the hardtop makes sense, as soon as the frosts disappear I'll be lifting it off and getting topless again. :driving:

Isn't 150 BHP a fairly large motorcycle engine, I didn't think they put them in real cars, maybe a Gogomobile or something similar but not a real car. :poke:

My old Yamaha RI motorbike had more than 150BHP!! I think my lawn mower has more torque!

Mind you, that's one thing Woots isn't short of................. talk! :P

We've had a couple of amazingly nice days up here but I can almost guarantee it'll be back to normal for the weekend, especially since i'm hoping to get out for a decent drive on Saturday morning. Top will of course be down if it's dry, irrespective of the temperature :)

Im dying to get my roof down but every chance i have the thing looks frozen and i dont know if i should risk folding it away.

the last time i got the roof down in this weather i had an old guy lean over and tell me 'its not warm enough for this kind of thing young'un' :D

might stick it down in the dark tonight on the way home. heated seats, heaters blasting and my frostbitten hands, cockey smile to all those who look at me like im mad :D

I have heard from my salesman that it's not a good idea to open or close the roof (ragtop) in less than 10 deg C. (The dealers here don't let the salesmen run top down below that mark) It might be a local rule, I'm not sure....
I do know that it is f**king cold below 10 when your on the highway doing 70mph for any long periods. The wind chill is nasty....

iv had it open at around 3 deg C on quite a few occasions and never had any trouble. its when there is frost on it i dont like incase the waterproof membrane is freezing and at risk of cracking when it moves. any ideas?

im dying to get the roof down in the mornings :headbang:

Try warming up the car and letting it really heat up the cabin so all the frost is gone and the roof (and liner) is a decent temperature. You might have a problem putting it back up if it's still cold later...

I wouldn't move the roof up or down at all if thee were any risk of any part of the roof fabric havin ice in it. The chance of damage to the fibres and membrane is high and of course simply moving it when so cold will stress the systems.

I'd put it down wet without worry so long as only for the journey and it was back up later to dry out and avoid any risk of mould damage

x3 and hence why I'm so grateful that the Z4 lives in a garage attached to the house. Still only 3-4degC inside the garage tonight (minus 2 outside already) but it's enough that I don't usually have to think twice about dropping the roof.

Had it down at sub-zero temps before, and that was BEFORE I fitted the heated seats :o

Girls will tell u they rather have one big one rather than two tittlers... its scientifically proven. FACT! :|

That's true, but what they didn't tell you was that they'd really like TWO big ones instead of just one, and more power to drive 'em.

Pretty sure they'd also appreciate something that doesnt need a break to stop/refuel all the time too... dont want the fun to end too soon do we :poke:
Last time i looked the 2.0 has WAAAY more endurance
And endurance is halfway to perfection peeps :)

Ahhhhh..i love innuendos

Indeed/tho endurance doesnt count for everything, lol as the 3.0 can hit the high spots and take u to a level that the 2.0 cant :poke:
