Brodit mount fitted with minimal faff. You do have to remove the head unit to loosen the dash mount screws to allow enough flex to slide the clip in. So that's a success
On the failure side the Gaptech install was a disaster. Put it in, double checking wire connections and used scotch bloc connectors. Checked with a multimeter that I'd got a good connections. Press the key button three times and down goes the roof. Lovely. Press the close sequence. Silence. Press the roof buttons on the panel. Silence and no lights. Total panic sets in. Double check the wiring and connectors, all good. Take it out and all the buttons come back to life *phew*
Contacted Gaptech to see if it can be tested (it was sold to me as under warranty) and once that's done I'll be selling it. I can't be arsed with it.
Cup holders next after a spot of lunch. Although the sun is shining so I might bin it and go for a drive.
