Sub zero = throttle over lag

Has anyone else noticed this issue before?
Example, Back in early December we had our first cold snap and twice this issue came up. One evening i left work, jumped in the car started her up, faffed around for a couple of min with the engine running while the screen cleared as the temprature was -6c, docked phone etc... and pulled off. As i accelerated through the gears (not excessivly) only up to around 2500 - 3000 rpm, each time i took my foot off the accelorator to change gear the rev's would kep climbing for a second (if i had previously been accelorating, or wouldnt drop straight away if before they where level.

This was for no longer than a second, but normally this action is instant! That time my journey was only 5min driving time.

This also happened the next day at first, but this day my journey was 45min it was only at the start and i am guessing was gone the same time the engine was FULLY up to normal temprature.

Between then and this week it has been running razor sharp, until last night (it was -5c), so i am guessing its a ambiant temprature issues?

People will tell me that i shouldnt drive until the car fully reaches normal operating tempratures, but waiting 5min to drive 5min is not pratical and its not a F1 car. Besides the BMW manualy says you CAN drive it while the tempratures low, just not excessivly (or something), plus a engines creates alot of heat after 2min runing, so its not like i turned the key and zoomed off straight away.

Do Z4's have elecronic throttle accelerator instead of the old fashioned cable from pedal to throttle???

Has anyone else experienced this before?

Quite the opposite, do as the manual says and drive off as soon as possible.

It's much better to drive the car gently after engine start as the varying revs help move the oil around all of the components.

But what about the 'Over rev / lag on throttle' response? This is the issue and worry.

I was just covering my arse as someone would tell me the opposite on the warming up topic.

I see your cars been remapped. Could it be an error there in the remap regarding low temperature settings?

sounds very much like my mondeo when the lambda sensors were goosed.

It might be the heaters in the lambda sensors are gone, they would then work OK when hot to give the described symptoms.

Hmmmm but its only when the weather is well bellow freezing, any other day its perfectly ok?
I was wondering if its just the electronics not liking the cold (like me lol)
