I am looking for offers around 20k......this will save you around 3k off the main dealer prices for a model of this age, spec and mileage and you still have over 4months BMW warranty.
I also have a small amount of finance outstanding on the vehicle which I will clear as soon as I have a deposit. The vehicle will then be able to be independantly HPI checked before payment for the vehicle is finalised and the ownership transferred.

Car is in Hampshire - contact Neil for photos/more details - details on pistonheads advert.

Isn't it a bit risky for a buyer to pay you a deposit to clear the HPI?

There is always a bit of a risk with something like that but it's not unusual. He won't want to clear his finance until he knows he has a serious buyer. I don't know the car but saw the ad on PH and love the colour. If only it had a red interior, auto box, not piano black dash and I hadn't got an M which has spoiled me recently, I'd be interested in this. In fact the only thing my car hasn't got is it isn't white but I guess if it was white I'd want silver grey!!!

Get some pics up, people won't think of dipping into their pocket without even seeing what they are buying.

I won't go on about it again ( ;) ), it just amazes me when you see so many people requesting £20,000 for something and they don't supply a simple picture. If I were selling I'd include everything I had, and make the details as accessable as possible.

As you say, obviously a reluctant sale

Hi there,

I am not using the deposit to clear the HP as I could clear this now. I just don't want to clear the finance unless I am bale to sell the car for the amount I want. As the deposit would only be for a small amount to show me the buyer is serious and they know where I live because that is where they viewed the car I do not see a risk for anyone. Obviously if I find this is scareing off potential buyers I will just clear the finance.

My main advert is on pistonheads where all the information is I was not expecting many views on this site and was unable to upload any photos here. I was expecting any interested parties to contact me on the forum to enquire about the car not to complain about my post.

But you hadn't linked to your pistonheads advert, I see you have edited that since.

I'm not complaining, sell it how you like I don't care, I was simply offering advise that contact details and photos would be a good idea when selling something...

a help thread on posting photos is here.

The car looks lovely btw 8)
