Stubby?

I need a stubby for my E89. Can anyone recommend one which fits well?

I used to have a stubby on my E85 but it never really looked right. While it screwed on fine, the it wasn't as large at the bottom as the base it screwed into which made it look weird.

Which reminds me... I may still have that stubby and should try it out!
 
Not quite getting this fixation with a 'stubby'. Looks neither better nor worse than a standard aerial, just different and certainly doesn't work any better.

Is it a car's version of a trendy hipster beard or a tattoo?
 
The first time we put a stubby on our car it was the mini as the standard aerial hit the garage door and made a noise.
When we bought the Z the first weekend we ordered one from BMW as we like the look of them.
The BMW one works just as good as the standard one as far as I can tell.
 
Finally found my stubby in the garage (see earlier post in this thread) taken off my previous E89 Thanks to this thread for providing the motivation.

Works fine on my new E89 with DAB. No different to the original aerial in performance, just looks a lot better!

I bought it on eBay, it's a BMW part and cost about £23 as I recall. About 3in height and matches the base perfectly.
