Being unable to remove the standard whip, arranged for our local indy specialist to fit a new base whilst car was in for MOT.
Have now totally lost AM reception (FM is OK) and we are at a loss to understand what's wrong. Definitely not the new arial (genuine BMW) as I've tried it on the Series 1 and its perfect.
Wondering whether the new base is the problem, doesn't support AM? Anyone experienced this. I have searched through the many posts but not really found the answer.
Z will be going back in next week for garage to try and sort.
