Stubborn Whip!

I can't get this whip off for the life of me!

Resorted to pliars and I've just sheared off plastic as I rotated left despite trying to be as careful as possible. The base is now starting to move a little bit with the whip so I've just given up

That's odd, it should come off quite easily... Are you turning it in the right direction?

Wd40 over night. But sounds like you will struggle. Its not un common for people not to be able to get them out. You may end having to replace the complete aerial

Common issue for those aerials that have never been removed and been done up to tight.

Clean it and dry it, then wrap the base in fresh rubber bands and give it another go.

You might also be weak. Have you tried asking a stronger friend?

Mine was a pita to remove. Ended up having to replace the base as well

Some one got mine off my E89 whilst it was being serviced at the dealers last month!

dealer kindly replaced it for a BMW stubby ariel. It looks quite expensive.
