Strut Spring Compressor

Think the one's i bought were about £9. Just simple bolt and two claws. Did the job. Loads on Ebay.

I use a floor standing hydraulic unit with a guard - if you're using these then once compressed zip-ties are your friend as a last line of protection while you handle the spring. If some thing slips they buy you a few vital seconds to get fingers out of the way!

Cost me a whole £40 from the free ads about four years ago - OK takes up floor space but I've never been in fear for my life!
