My 04 Z4 alignment has been out for quite a while, and aside from the minor pull to the left I'm ripping through tires way too quick. My local shop can't get the alignment in 100%, and says it seems like a bent strut. I'm at 100k miles now an I'm thinking a suspension refresh is in order. The estimate from the shop for OEM replacement of front struts (complete) and rear shocks + labor is $1800. I think I can handle this job myself and save a lot in the process. Two questions, anyone have experience with this and can share any details? ... and any thoughts on OEM versus Bilstein or another mfr.'s parts?
