hey guys, ive just (few months back) bought a new set of 19" wheels i think the recommended tyre sizes would be : Fronts are 19 x 8.5 et40, rears 19 x 9.5 et 40 (wheels) Front Tyres are 235/30/19 Rear tyres are 265/30/19.

now for the rear i was thinking of going a little narrow, not only to prevent any potential rubbing but mainly, because a saw a 3 series the other day with a good stretch and it looked very nice. plus i like the drift look.

so basically i dont want to go nuts but would like a good look, anyone done anything similar or have any tips?

ive placed the 265/30/19 next to the 246/30/19 on the fitmywheels site and this is what its shown but doesnt really help the minds eye place it, maybe go down to 235? any experience?

Had 235/35/19's on my 10'' rear wheels but it handled awful, so went up to 255.

Here is 235/35 on 10'' wide 19's.

The 255's are massively better.

ben g, thanks for that! Did you have any issues with the tyre fitters not wanting to put the stretch on? The 255's look quite good, bit too much lip on the 235's :)

I went on Google and had a quick search on stretched tyres followed by my area and found some people on forums recommending places to go.

I think some places won't do them, but the cash in hand old style fitters are fine with it.

Bare in mind that stretch is on a 10'' rim, so will be a bit less on 9.5''.
