Strange rattling sound inside the Z *short video*

So I don't really remember when it started I think it was after I hit a big pothole but anyways, I keep hearing a loud rattling noise maybe metal rubbing or something but I hear it even when I'm parked anyone know what it is? Sorry for the loud exhaust! Lol windows where down too. You can only hear it inside the car.

That's the check engine light it's been on for months I keep procrastinating because the closest BMW dealership is a good 2 hours away (bought it used from someone)
 
A longshot,

but I had a similar noise,it was all to do with the steering column,
as it had been adjusted for the missus so just check the locking bar.
 
could be a broken or loose diagonal strut brace as the noise did not speed up with engine revs or road speed.
