What's up you guys!
I've got an 03' Z4 with halogen headlights. I've recently had a weird problem with my lowbeams in my headlight.
A quick backstory: I purchased an aftermarket HID kit and after deciding it wasn't a good idea (unreliable, dangerous, blinding) I took it off. I put my halogen bulbs back in place just like it was before I put the HID kit there.
This is a picture before I messed around with the HID kit--so these are stock halogen bulbs in these pictures
Looks normal and bright right?
Well I had slight condensation one day in the passenger side of the headlight and I let it air out and it finally dried. EXCEPT, I noticed something strange....the light was very yellow and dim. Take a look:
Can you see the left light is much yellow than the right side? Yeah, then a little later, the drivers side got a bit of condensation which dried up quickly. Well, you can guess what happened next:
As you can see, both are equally dim now and they're an ugly yellow. Keep in mind that I put in brand new halogen bulbs too.
Any advice here? I do a bit of night time driving since I work a bit late everyday in the evening and the drop in brightness is noticeable from viewing from the front of the car right up to the light on the road. What can I do to troubleshoot this problem?
I'm glad I took pictures of my car and accidentally documented the problem with pictures
Thanks in advance!
