Hi all! Firstly Merry Christmas!

When I pull away from a stationary position I get a weird clunk or tick noise coming from the middle of the underside of my car.

Does it when I lift the clutch and engage power

Also happens in revere

Thanks

Yes from inside the car and out I seems to be coming from the diff area. Someone suggested exhaust rubbers etc but they all seem fine

Right, could be prop donut. Or the stub shaft going into diff needs grease, or diff mounting bushes perished. Also, could the sound direction be misleading? Consider issues with springs or suspension components.

I remember reading this as mentioned by BCW above, sounds very similar, fortunately it's only a grease job but I seem to recall it being 2 1/2 hrs labour or thereabouts?

there was also a post regarding the procedure so it's worth a search
