Strange anti glare side mirror

Hi

Sounds like a strange question but, does anyone else's side mirror look out of focus ?

When I look at cars (during the day) behind they seem to have a very slight purple effect around them.
Very much like watching a 3d film without glasses !!!

Passenger side seems fine, it's only the drivers side.

I think my eyes are ok ?

I take it you have auto-dim side mirrors? I've never seen this myself, but I'm guessing the fluid has leaked out and you're seeing double reflections from the inner and outer surfaces.

Yeah, my passenger side looks very slightly blurred towards to outside of the mirror. Not sure why - I assumed someone had replaced it with a cheap eBay knock off. Just never gotten round to trying to fix it.

I thought when the auto dim mirrors leak they fo black and not blurry?

You may very well be right. I've never seen a failure, so it's just my imagination running wild as an attempt to explain the symptoms. If that's not it, then I'm out of any more crazy ideas on this one.
