Storm gearknob mounting

Hi all,
Has anyone tried fitting the boot over the storm knob like thus, or isn't it possible?
Also, would someone be able to provide the diameter of that groove?

OK, just answering my own post. I rang Stormwerks and apparently that minor diameter is 25mm. Not OK for the standard boot, as it's opening is max 20mm, but if you had one made, you could cable tie it into the groove. Maybe it'll look a bit lower and meaner?

Yes, that's a personal thing I guess. I don't like the fact that you can see the grub screw.
