Someone please tell me this is 100% pointless...

I've no idea why I've started doing it..... but when I either lower or raise the roof, I rev the car and hold it about 2k revs while the roof does it's thing......

that's stupid and pointless..... yes????

:headbang: :headbang:

Cant see why you would want to, i use to raise and lower my roof all the time with the engine off and it did no harm.

I keep revs at the red line all the time I open/close the roof.

Yes - comletely pointless. Raise and lower my roof every single day during the Summer for 5 years without issue and no engine running.

Revving and braking is OK and understandable as you pump up the battery with electrons to compensate for the pending demise of the soggy roof motor.

However you must refrain from honking your horn.
That would be considered over the top.

If you reverse backwards really fast it helps it go up quicker.
