Managed to pick up 4 pesky chips below my BMW roundel on my bonnet which look awful.

Looking into options to repair / treat this .. any suggestions? Full panel respray at £300 seems dear for a small issue..

Tried my local chips away guy - he said theres nothing he can do for stone chips. Thanks for the link z4pilot, I am inclined to have a go but that cluster looks daunting!

I bet he thought not enough money in it for him, but either way not the responce you'd expect from a company who r set up to do this work

I would do this yourself. Get some touch up and mix 50/50 with lacquer. Slowly fill the chip after cleaning with something will will remove and wax/protection.

Wet sand the chip and then polish up. It's not hard and if you take you time you will be fine. Using 2000/3000 grit paper it will take more effort but less chance of it going wrong.

???

He sounds like someone who doesn't know how to do his job. I'd try another smart repairer for a second opinion.

Though if it were me I think I'd have a crack at filling the chips with gradual layers of paint and then some wet sanding and polishing.
