Still got squeaky wipers-

WD40 is a water dispellent not a lubricant, many peeps fall into that trap. you need to use a lubricant spray or good old 3 in 1 one oil will do it

and where are you spraing exactly, it need to be where the arm bends i.e. the pivot where you pull them off to wash the car not the large nut that hold them on.

Well you live and learn :D , we to, use several types at work, and to be honest WD40, i know it says it lubricates, but, its not very good at it,it dries the surface to much, there are far superior lubricants out there,

Guys,

I have a squeaky wiper too.

Drivers side blade, yet mine seems to come from the rubber rubbing against the windscreen, I can see it visibly judder when wiping.

If I lift the wiper off the screen and turn them on it doesn’t squeak.

Anyone had similar?

Thanks

Dan

I spent ages looking for a squeak on my drivers side wiper arm. Turned out to be the spring that was the culprit.

I would guess that is down to resistance when the blade sweeps, i would lube the spring and the hub, thats what I did, cured mine

I had the same annoying squeak! I thought it would have gone away when the whole mech was replaced (warranty) but no still there. Like DK55, blade lifted, silence!

Cure for me, lube the spring at the loop ends. It was the very slight movement the springs make while the blade travels over the curvature of the screen.

Lube the blade pivot for good measure!
