Sticky stick

Is it normal for the dipstick to be very difficult to remove?

It seems to create a stupid amount of suction on my Z, so much so that it feels like it's about to break when you try and remove it. I can't actually check my oil on my own since I'm a bit of a weakling.

Has anyone else had this problem? any fixes?

I've not noticed anything like that on mine, but it has been a while and my memory isn't what it once was

Must check my oil level soon so I will see then...

Twist it before you pull it out (hmm, maybe I should rephrase that ... )

What PVR said, twist as your pulling out helps too. It is a PITA, it's just the suction on the O-ring holding it in. Which on that note, I hope the O-ring never gets cut. At least I think it's an O-ring on there, I never felt it, it looks like one though

PVR is correct.

I check my oil every two weeks and it is always a little tight.

I finally managed to check my oil tonight and I didn't need a drop A good twist with a metal implement and it released it's grip
