No surprises with the verdict, but overall a really favourable review.

All these reviews seem to be framed like the 35iS never existed, really annoys me. They go on and on about the performance, when the exact same existed in the 35iS 10 years ago. Need to compare Apples to Apples here, not the M40i to the E89 sDrive 20/23/30 which seems to be the implication they all make.

Let's hope they put one around the top gear track, with a stiggy in it. :driving:

Still a good indicator of just how fast a car really is.

I don't think they compare it with any specific e89?
Also having the same horsepower on paper has not a direct relation to how fast a car is.
What annoys me is that they always quote (or elaborate) on a 0-60 time. As if the world stops at 60mph (now that would be a really boring life  )
Imho 0-120 or 60-120 is way more interesting (and might give a totally different view, especially when comparing it to boxsters)
They mainly compare it to the boxster (sadly not the boxster S)

BTW Steve Sutcliffe was already very positive on the G29 when he did a review of the pre-production model. But the production model is apparently still a tad too soft for his liking.

There is a Carfection review coming up too soon - just heard mention of it in another vid of theirs. Apparently Catchpole drives it around and back from the Pyrenees via a cheeky lap at Le Mans. Also sounds positive from early comments - if not, sounds like a great vid anyway!
