I have owned my car just short of 10 years, buying it from the Sytner dealership in Leicester in Feb 2015.
I am putting it up for sale as my eldest son has now passed his driving test and i just don't have the space for it on the drive any more so it needs to find a new owner to carry on enjoying it like I have.
Price of £2495 without the hardtop. I based this on being cheaper than all the current auto trader adverts for same spec, or we can come to a deal if the hardtop is also wanted (details of hardtop below, and also has a separate advert post)
Spec :
---------
- Sterling Grey
- 2.5 M54 engine
- Mileage 100,333
- New 12 month MOT valid til March 2026 and oil service completed 02/25.
- 17inch Style 103 wheels (Daisy's), Wheels in good condition for age, no kerbing.
- Heated Black leather seats, no rips or tears
- Z4 forum windscreen sticker - (a must have 8) )
- The roof motor was relocated to the boot very early in my ownership. Actual motor looks as good as new. Roof goes up and down every time no issues. Photo shows without carpet cover so can see condition of motor. Roof works perfectly and has never missed a beat, the canvas has been cleaned and protected with auto glym kit regularly and also been stored away for winter under the hardtop each year and has no rips or tears. Rear heating element still working fine in both hardtop and soft-top
- Genuine wind deflector with boot brackets for storage
- Genuine driver and passenger pop out cupholders with faceplates
- Factory fitted 6 cd changer
- Stubby aerial
- ZHP M-sport weighted gear knob for better gear changes (also have the original factory taller one if preferred although it isn't as good)
- Re-wrapped real leather steering wheel
- Genuine carpet mats (2 sets). I have always used rubber halfords ones over the top to protect them so have almost no wear.
- Warning triangle, tool kit and first aid kit still present from new
- All handbooks and service books present as well as bmw leather wallets and original documentation from dealer and receipts for work done and old MOTs.
- 2 keys, 1 Zed Shed flip key and 1 original diamond key. It was sold by sytner to me with only one key so I had the extra spare made by the zedshed. Only the 2 keys i have are coded to the car.
It is city clean air charge (ULEZ) compliant so there are no daily fees to pay should you want to drive it into a city.
It has only ever been run on either shell nitro plus or Tesco momentum99 fuel during my ownership.
In my ownership it has had the following work to it at the Zed Shed or a local independent garage.
- Rear Brake pipes in kunifer both sides to mid section and Front brakes in kunifer from wheel arch to engine bay both sides. HEL braided stainless rear flexis brake pipes. This removes the worry of rusting brake pipes
- Vanos removed, all seals and gaskets replaced and refitted with X8R complete refurb kit
- Expansion tank and coolant bleed system
- roof motor relocated to the boot and covered with carpet cover
- New front nearside and offside shock absorbers
- New front nearside and offside strut top mounts
- New alternator
- New starter motor
- New front brake pads
- Erling complete cam cover gasket.
- Febi bilstein oil filter housing gasket.
- New nearside anti-roll bar link
- New offside wheel bearing assembly
- New front nearside and offside brake dust shields
- New windscreen surround seal
- LED interior bulb upgrade

I'm near to Wolverhampton in the West Midlands if anyone wants to take a look. I've tried to cover off as much detail and info as I can think of but feel free to ask any questions.
I should point out that in the current pictures, there is rust showing on the front nearside wing, I do now have a replacement rust free wing in the same colour to replace. Also the rear offside wing has slight blistering below petrol cap.
Hardtop:
-------------
Colour matched hard top, complete with the now rare genuine side and top internal covers and Allen key. Purchased from the forum at the start of my ownership. The Hardtop does have a small crack in the paint on the nearside front corner and a chip in the paint on the leading edge (both common from storage against a wall in a garage) these were both there already when i bought it but these do not affect the water tightness at all and i don't think are too noticeable once its fitted. I also have the storage bag for it
