Looking for some advice really or a valuation currently near the end of restoring my zed to near immaculate condition inside and out it has red leather which is mint heated seats roof Motor re located 127k smg box full service history roof and body work is immaculate it also has blue music steering wheel controls jus about to have a Fresh mot full service gearbox and diff serviced to.but im struggling to value it jus wondering ur guys thoughts of what it’s worth
 
Having just sold and bought I think you are asking the wrong question. You have probably tried all the usual valuation sites and think your car is special and you want more than that. That's OK if you are just put that price on the advert and wait. Be prepared for lots of queries along the lines of. " Will you take..xxx? Most before they have even looked at the ad. Normal maintenance jobs do not affect the value no matter how recent. New tyres don't add much... Could you sell it with out them? I saw a vast difference in asking prices and looked at six different cars before settling on a reasonable priced one. I paid the asking price. It was worth it and the seller then made some extra offers. Like a brand new MOT. Full tank and road tax included. So you can ask whatever you want but eventually it comes down to comparisons with equally good cars for the same price.
 
Hi mate thanks for info i haven’t bothered with any valuation sites as I know there ridiculous I don’t think my car is special I know it has a rare gearbox and I know smg is not for everyone but there are literally none to compare it to and like u say the price range seems pretty broad out there I’m in no rush to sell at all will wait till it warms up a bit out there as I know it’s not a good time to sell a roadster.
 
First step would be. get photos... Then more . You cannot have too many.. inside. Outside and very close up. Steering wheel, footwell. Everything . Any marks at all however small. Then post the ad on here. I bought mine below zero and only lowered the roof to test it. Get every piece of history you can find collated too. Good luck.
 
The answer is that the market for an SMG is smaller than an auto or manual.

Therefore, if you want this to sell, price it 10-20% lower than the cheapest auto or manual equivalent.
 
There’s not one in the whole country for sake to me that makes it rare I wanted a smg and there was 2 wen I was buying one I certainly don’t think it makes it cheaper that a manual or auto that are very common

You're doing that thing of assuming that "rare = desirable".

That's not really the case outside of very special cars.
 
Very few of something makes it rare in my opinion that doesn’t de value anything it may not be worth more than a manual and auto but it’s certainly not worth less in my eyes
 
Worth what someone is willing to pay. Rare only adds value if the item is sought after, if the item is not sought after rarity will have zero impact on value.
 
Your post title says “For Sale”

Are you still contemplating selling it or actually selling it, in which case add some details, a price and preferably some photos.

Otherwise amend the title maybe to “valuation required “ ?

Just saying, as it doesn’t really seem to be for general sale yet
