Stereo set up

I want my stereo set up correctly, I'm going deaf, it sounds like crap the next time I get in the car. Anyone know of anyone in the south west who is good?

I took mine to a great shop in Truro called flyingsparks, they did an amazing job - not sure if this is too far SW though :p

Just went to western car radio in Bristol and it cost me a small fortune. I'm having a new sub, a new amp (supplying myself) and probably four new speakers in the front. By the way, the speakers behind the seats are original parts only, you can't get a replacement, apparently. It sounds good at the moment but I'm assured it will take it to a new level and they are going to set it up foc. Oh, I didn't ask how much he would charge just to set it up, I saw all the shiny things, i heard the bass and with a little bit of help from the guy in the shop, the card came out for a deposit, ill ask Thursday when i take it in. Got my old sub on eBay but £75 to anyone on here if they want it, they are about £135 new and I've only had it about seven weeks.

Got any details of the work they did for you willgill? Need some inspiration.

Quite a simple upgrade (I had bog standard pro nav business speakers before). They installed two hertz amps, packed out the footwell, sound deadened the doors and put in focal components, the sound difference is quite amazing, no need for any subs if you spend time creating the sound stage up front.

if anyone is local I'll be happy to demo it, cost about a grand all in, I'm very happy with it

Depends how much bass you like, each to their own after all, if I have garage or some real banging house on, i want to jump off the seat. Can't do a grand at the mo anyway, off on holiday Saturday. :D
