Steering wheel question

If I install an E46 M3 steering wheel to my E86 will I need any coding for the airbag?

Nope, it's plug and play as they use the same slip ring and 2 stage air design.

Be very interested in knowing how this goes I have a momo wheel fitted at the moment but do like the e46 wheel, specially some of the carbon fibre modded versions.

You can even activate cruise control without the CC stalk as on the e46 steering wheel the CC buttons are integrated into the MFSW buttons. I did it last year and worked perfectly
