Steering Wheel Plastics - paint with what?

Anyone got a guide as to how to take a steering wheel off ?

Pref with pics... And how long will it take do you reckon ?

I'm doing my grill first, once it's done I can then confirm the match against existing spokes before committing.

3 coats done so far, 1 to go hopefully.

Oooh -i hope it all goes to plan mate!(if it doesnt you can peel it off cant you?)

One grill done and looks good. Will post pictures tomorrow next to a wrapped one and next to a spoke you you can see the difference if there is one.

Just touched it, does have a rubbery type feel to it. Can't wait to check it against the spokes.

Can also confirm it peels off. There is some fine over spray on the grill tags and I can remove easily so easy to remove if you cock it up.

If we're talking about the plastic spokes I had the same problem, they simply unscrew at the rear & then unclip - no need to take the wheel off. I went the expensive route & replaced with new ones around £100, but fitted myself.

What about the MSFW buttons. I'm tempted to mask the actual buttons and spray the surround, but are the wires connected?

I bought mine from amazon although the seller again was Plastidip themselves. Can only assume they have allocated remaining stock to ebay.

Well, it didn't say I couldn't order it as usually happens with oos items, so hopefully they were just kidding :D

€150.00 Euros to replace the whole lot from BMW dealership. Comes as a set of 3 main parts. What a rip off for crap plastics in the first place. :x
