Steering wheel cluster

Life was simply in my e 89.
Picked up our g29 20i msport today but can't get anything displayed in the middle portion of the cluster behind the steering wheel.
Have checked the display setting and all seems OK. No widgets with the bc button either.
Also strange but when I get in the car a picture of a car is displayed in the cluster mentioned but its not a z4. Should it be.
Please advise.

Looks like your car needs a software update at your dealer.

The section between the speedo and rev counter displays a roadmap which provides directions and traffic information when using the satnav. The space in the middle of the rev counter contains different information and can be cycled by pressing the button on the end of the indicator stalk.

Hello all,
Thank you for the responses. I did think it would be a initial problem. The software is at March 19 level.
Not a problem at the moment as there's a lot to learn with this one.
Park assist and reverse assist all mastered. Next is cruise control, adaptive suspension and how to play my extensive collection of music on cassette.

I still have a weird problem with mine not showing the Z4 M40i logo at the of the cluster, on the list of gremlins to get fixed...
