Hi to All,
I bought a second hand 91kmters tested EPS (keeping ecu), replaced damaged one on my z4 E85, I also had the opportunity to switch (NEW) the steering angle sensor that I bought and recalibrated same using INPA, once all parts back on the car.
After about 2 months / couple of hundreds kilometres, I am faced to 611C code and of course no power steering assistance instantly when I start to turn the wheel after engin turned on. Searching around in NPA/"Chassis", I found also a code 5E43, not sure this one is of main importance.
I also add a picture from INPA / DSC sensor which show offset steering angle "outside limits" /after steering angle recalibration...
I may have my own limits as a INPA user but it there any kind of way to calibrate internal sensor from the steering column?
I removed the steering column again and I have not seen any problem with the tin solders or anything with the rolled up white cables..
QUESTION for the experts:
-Do you think I am just unlucky and I bought a "short life second hand EPS" or do you see something different?
-Considering we can calibrate steering angle sensor, can we calibrate the inside steering torque sensor inside EPS? Are there some settings for the EPS?
-Could the ECU have an alignement problem with EPS and create this 611C?
Please let me know, thanks in advance, :headbang:
