Steering alignment settings?

Hey there!

I’ve got a bit of a steering alignment issue with my 2006 N46. The car tracks straight, but the steering wheel is slightly off centre. Do you know if there are any settings I can share with the garage that might help fix this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ask them to do a proper alignment. Step one is set the steering wheel straight, then adjust the alignment to match it

I'd want to be sure the garage could do it properly before committing. Plenty of places have Hunter, or similar, laser alignment equipment, but the operatives aren't too skilled in using it!

My current Z4 had a 4-wheel alignment at Kwik-Fit less than 2 months before I bought it and the steering wheel was off-centre when the car was going straight.

After raising the ride height to clear speed bumps (it's on coil-overs), getting rid of the spacers and swapping back to 18" wheels from 19s I got an alignment done by a local BMW Indy who had invested in all the gear to set up his race cars. Not only was the steering wheel lined up right, but the way the car drove was transformed. :D
