Steamy cloudy headlights?

Anyone else have this? When I apply a damp cloth or windowlean it goes for a bit then gets steamed from the outside? What's causing this from the outside of the light?

I think most that have had issues it's been down to the rubber seals on the cover on the back of the light unit - these can be replaced.

Not sure about steaming from the outside? Have you got some pictures? Couldn't see it on your waxed thread - too distant.

This may sound stupid, but is it definitely moisture? After a while the face of the headlights themselves can become pitted (years of things flying into them at high speed :driving: ), I only ask as the appearance of this can be reduced when the lights have been wetted.

If you're feeling brave you can get rid of that... sanding! Wet and dry. I think I started at about 800 and then worked to 1500. If you can get some 2000 / 2500 grit it will make life easier for the final stage. I scratch remover and then a glass polish to finish.

Have a look on YouTube I think there are clips on there.
