Stealing a 1M, easy as this :o(

Double press disables motion sensor as well as internal ones. Not what you want to do of course ..

So are insurance companies still happy to state that you premium is lower when not parked in a garage ?

Disklok group buy anyone?

If they can get around the the alarm / no key / immobiliser situation then unfortunately I dont think this will make the slightest bit of difference to deterring them from your car... It probably adds another ten to twenty seconds onto the job maximum for the professional thief :x

General school of thought is that they would move onto the next one if it has a discloc etc on, as its hassle to get off.

On the more specialist stuff like the 1M this may not be the case however

these guys are using pre programmed OBD devices which would require some brains. does the 1M not have an internal motion sensor ???

Basic alarms are really basic and will not react if you are not moving to the centre of the car.

I think you give them too much credit, the you tube videos show them plugging the kit in, press a couple of buttons hold the key against the unit and away they go
