Has anyone used them?
As part of the NatWest incentive payments to move business accounts to other banks, I selected them to move a number of business accounts to.
However, so far the use of their accounts has given me a number of issues that I can't seem to resolve:
- The first payment I made using the App went through twice to the supplier, and it is a good thing that the supplier returned one payment upon my request as I could not get hold of Starling bank (queue was endless, even left it for 7 hours but could not get through so I assume it was a general problem that everyone had).
- I do business in USD and EUR as well, and the customers are getting p*ssed off as their payments to me are being rejected by Starling. I finally got through to Starling who simply stated that either I provided them wrong details, or the customers are doing something wrong. Hmm, they are some of the world's largest organisations so I doubt that somehow and the details cannot be provided wrong as you use the "share your account details" within the App which is showing some bank in NY.
The incentives were nice to switch, but I am getting rather worried if this is a solid bank or not as with the lack of customer service and basic errors of double payments going out, the trust is sinking fast.
