Well what a big update we have here, i always said a year with vt1 ill go for the vt2 upgrade. so here we are,

the vt2 upgrade kit is in the post!! This will give me an additional oil cooler, a HUGE front mount intercooler, smaller crank and supercharger pulleys, all oil lines with aeroquip fittings, large bore intercooler tubing with black finish, this adds only 2 psi to my current 5 psi, giving me 7psi in total, power rises to around 515bhp but its the torque that REALLY jumps up a league, having had indepth converations with the american vt2 owners the kit is just a step up from vt1.
VT1 has been AMAZING, but as usual i now want MOREE!!! z4m + 515bhp = insane!! lol

Next up i sourced a gauge pod to keep an eye on things, im running alot of power and REALLY need to keep an eye on the engines vitals and predict a possible problem and shut down the engine in time.
Ive ordered the stack pro control gauges with peak recall, so after a run i can press peak and see my highest value, a neat trick, they also flash red once upto a pre-set max :-)i went with oil pressure, boost, wideband lambda gauge.........

AT the same time the car will be having its inspection 1, where i will be asking simpson to replace coolant also, i will then change out the gearbox and diff fluids when i get home to save alittle cash.

Now im booked on a vmax day shortly after the work, where i will be running the car upto vmax and pitting it against ALL the exotica, including a Lexus LFA, and 599 gto, plenty of GTRs, im intending to scalp some serious metal, after the vmax day its been arranged i will be using brunters when everyones left to do a full feature for BMW car mag, the week after that im over to silverstone for a workout on the circuit!! so lots and lots planned!!

Even better i won the "become a michelin tyre tester for the day competetion" on pistonheads with will see me testing the new PSS tyre on everything from r8s to lambo's and ill be given a brand new set of PSS tyres in my choosen tyre sizes!! ALL in all its going to be a very exciting month, i WILL TRY to get as much of it on video as possible but with the O/H so far gone now she cant travel with me and sleeps all the time!! (this is on may 7th)

The car goes to simpson monday the 9th may, with all the parts slowly starting to come through, i'll update my original s/c thread with full pics and vids asap!! soo excited about the upcoming month :-)

so a quick summary of whats happening next week.

may 7th Silverstone day with michelin tyre testing compo

(simpson must hate me as i request for the work to be done in a certain way, it usually takes a few more day to complete to perfection)
may 9th Simpson motorsport to complete :
VT2 upgrade kit
Inspection 1 with coolant flush
Gauge install with stack pro control electronic gauges

i will be doing :
Recaro PP install with billet floor mounts and recaro adjusters
Oil changes for gearbox and diff ( not to important as im only @ 10k miles)

Vmax day (not allowed to post date)

Silverstone trackday another week after. i may need new brakes pads after this little lot!! lol!!

on another note im praying for 185 + on the vmax day and to show some exotica the rear my my ///M.

PICS soon!!

Anyone that wants to go s/c on your s54 do it!! this engine with boost is awesome, forged bottom end from factory, graphite coated pistons, super strong iron block...... its the german 2jz ;-) The americans bolt on a turbo and thow 14psi plus at this motor STOCK to achieve 750 WHEEL horsepower.

heres an m3 running the same vt 2 kit.

the car makes 440 WHEEL horspower!! very very impressive, this car in this form won the tuner challenge in the us, welldone tonester and thanks for all the advice :-)

I didn't know that much could be done to the s54 , wow !! who is vt ? I see, ESS....

I'm happy with my 385 hp in my tintop, the Z4M Roadster must be insane to drive with that much jam...

the kit is made by ESS tuning, this is the stage 2 upgrade kit for the stage 1 i already have.......

checkout this s54 stage 3, by horspower freaks, like i said the s54 IS the german 2jz ;-)

i see the US tuners are making 430hp out od the 3l TT n54 motor, they make REALLY good power!!

I have Dinan stage II in mine so just nudging up to 385hp, with a bigger oil cooler and stage III it will get around 425hp. and that's just software !! Dinan doesn't have much else for upgrades yet except a flywheel , oil cooler and software ... or I'd be in real trouble.

I punched it onto the highway the other day and damned near turned sideways going into 3rd (7spd DCT). I must have been showing off to a co-workers hubby who rides a "Boss Hoss". He's got about 400hp in his bike !!

425hp with Dct will be Awesome, from a dig with lauch control they are unstoppable, i have been lucky enough to get too try a ess supercharged s65 m3 with the vt 625 kit with DCT, the car was INSANE!! I've fallen in love with the ess kits, the party trick is the way they drive when your not on it........ as tame as a stock car in the low rev range, i will never have a problem using ess kits on future cars :-) :driving: :driving: :driving:

Your Z4M must be the most powerful in this forum. The only easy upgrade I can do for my 23i is probably just remapping. It may give it extra 10bhp  .
