Sounds like you're having some fun 
Wish I had more time to drive mine 
And some bigger nuts to get it squirming about. Still getting to know mine.
Took some of the traction control off so had DTS ( I think ) on the dash that was more enjoyable
I think I need some lessons and track time

its just driving home across liverpool and TC tends to keep most slippy stuff from happening. its just that little bit it gives before cutting in when pulling over junctions etc. nothing stupid and lairy about town too much to lose. it just reminds me of how the westy will let go and then be a dream to catch and bring back (a very easy car to play in), but that used to take a bit more pushing, shame the tc cuts the throttle but probably for the best really
hate to think how much im wearing the rear tyres
i found the best way to learn how the westy behaved wasnt on a track, the speeds etc were too much. i just waited till i almost needed new tyres and then went and found somewhere quiet, out of the way and open (basically made sure i wasnt bothering anyone and wasnt going to hit anyone) and just played a little bit here and there but not for long so as to attract attention. that and just driving it sensibly it will come. if you ever get chance to have a go in one or any 7 do it the assault on sences and the feed back from the car is the best rush you will have
I discovered yesterday morning on the way home from work in the early hours that, even with the traction and stability control, it's possible to very much step the backend out exiting a roundabout

yeah same here pulling out of tescos early the other morining.

Thanks Domsze i have been out looking in the evenings all the places i have tried have been a bit busy. And like you say you don't want to attract to much attention. I did find one place nice big open empty car park. But it was quite built up so couldn't stay long. I think its important to play in this way i have only ever really had front wheel drive cars. Must keep looking. I had a passenger ride in an aerial atom with a guy that could REALLY drive that was amazing. It also made me think i have a lot to learn about driving.... I don't consider myself a novice but i am by no means fast.
I should just say I'm not condoning this, it's just what I did in a place that was very isolated so quite good for it. I did learn alot through more through generally driving within my abilities (and a bit outside but we don't talk about that bush or the mondeo woman pulling me out of it
).

Agreed if only there where places to play with your car.
I work in an area with lots of private roads and roundabouts. It's so fun getting the back end out all the time, with no worry about trouble from the plod.
With the tc half on, it's very easy and safe aswell. The electronics pull you back in line whilst making you look like an elite race driver to other people.
