Squealing noise on start up.

Left my car for a week and a half on the drive, came back from holiday, drove it to and from the Garage who did an Inspection 2 on it, no problems.

Went to go out for a drive last night and on start up i noticed a squealing noise.

It eventually stops after a while, but if I turn the engine off then back on, it'll start squealing again for a few seconds before the noise stops again.

Belts were replaced about a month ago and they've been fine.
 
I was going to suggest belts but since they have been replaced it would be odd they went again so soon. Any signs of water leaking anywhere. I once had a hairline crack in a thermostat which would slowly leak fluid down onto the belts causing a similar problem to yours.
 
Seems odd that it happened just after a service. Not sure whether they touch the belts/tensioner during an Inspection 2?

Either way, hopefully it's nothing too bad. Just annoying and embarrassing having that squealing noise whilst driving. Sounds like an old escort :lol:

In my experience most odd problems only start after the car has been in the garage, although fortunately this hasn't happened with the Zed, but it has only been in the garage once.
