Squeaky Window

Hi, due to all the sun we are getting here in Ireland (a whole 3 days of it), my drivers side window is starting to sqeak quite loud when it moves up or down. What is the best substance to use in order to eliminate this sound. WD40 etc and any other light oils would surely leave me with a smeared window, thanks in advance for your help...

I'd like to know a solution for this one as well.

Assuming the window rubber strip just needs some sort of lubrication???

ditto, i want to know as well. hope i don't need to pop open the door panel because it looks to be a huge PITA

some people use a very little amount of silicon, but then i've also heard it can break the rubber down in the long term, a bit of wd40 may help, will need to clean the window after the first few up n downs tho....
