Squeaking rear brakes

Help please, I have squeaking rear brakes when driving off, I have read on here that it might be the handbrake but when I touch the brake pedal it stops. So assuming it is the calipers stuck or sliders dry. I recently did the front right and after cleaning the sliders (not dry) found this made no difference so replaced the caliper. Almost buying both rears from autodoc but worry problem might only be sliders. Is this likely? As always your help much appreciated.

Anti rattle springs maybe? I've seen it said that they should be replaced along with news discs/pads (I never have!) Mine sound like they don't sit quite right so might try new ones when I do them next.

Probably your handbrake Mikey, mine does it quite often and I just live with it. If its really bugging you then wait for some sunshine and give it a strip and overhaul if necessary.

Thank you Morris_12 and Nick W, I will hold off on the repairs, I had wondered about the handbrake pads. Hadn’t thought about the anti rattle springs though.

2.2i and 2.5i rear brakes are terrible single thickness discs i.e not double thickness ventilated. They are just not up to the job. Why BMW thought the 2.2i and 2.5i would be ok with less capable brakes is beyond me  I was constantly fannying about with mine either the pads and calipers or handbrake assemblies, warping, squeaking this, rattling the other :(
Get yourself a full brake set-up off a 3.0i or Si.....MUCH, MUCH BETTER ! Two years since I changed mine and no issues whatsoever

Thank you patriot 66, sounds like a lot of work
It's not too bad, a nice little project. The front calipers are common so you can use your existing ones but the 3.0i has larger diameter discs and therefore different carrier brackets. The rears are a different caliper with wider gape to accomodate the thicker ventilated discs.
I stripped everything down, new pistons and seals etc and re-painted them. Well worth it  20210321_201713.jpg20210321_201343.jpg20210403_164051.jpg20210403_194827.jpg20210410_155311.jpg
