really need some sound advice please, bear with me please I am a girl and can get a bit long winded.
So hubby bought me my beautiful z4 a few months ago just to cheer me up and because I could no longer ride my motorbikes. She was bought as a toy really, only going to be used on weekends for a blast up the motorway and some nice fast twisties, same as the bike.
posted some pictures in the intro section and some people mentioned she would look nicer with 18 inch wheels. So I was extra nice to hubby and he bought me some. Had them fitted but during turning they would catch all the time, so went back to the 17's she came with. Not too bothered because someone had sprayed them and they match the car.
The trouble is I have fell head over heals in love with this car and want to use her for everything. I go to asda in her, post office,corner shop, I have even tried to persuade the kids that getting a lift to school in the boot of the car is not child abuse, but they won't have it. we went away last week and because i had left her at home I cried that much hubby drove me home just so I could bring her back.
There is one BIG problem though who ever owned her before me has fitted her with lowering springs and she is a nightmare when it comes to everyday use because of speed humps and pot holes. I literally have to stop to try to get over them without hurting her and this can get very frustrating :evil:
So i asked hubby about me buying some standard springs for him to fit. This way she can wear her new wheels he bought her and maybe she will cope with speed humps and potholes better. He thinks I would hate it if I did because it would ruin the way she handles, which I must say at the minute is absoloutely superb.
Do I go back to using her for occassional weekend use, put standard springs on, or just get used to the humps ?
What do you think to change or not to change that is the question ?
