Spring compressors near Bristol… anyone?

Finally have all the brand new parts for my suspension refresh, so just a cheeky request to see if any forum members near Bristol have a set of spring compressors I could ‘hire’ for a few beers?

Or, even better, would be prepared to help as there’s not that many coils on the Eibach Springs!

I don’t need help refiting to car or anything, just compressing the spring to build the new strut.

All sorted, garage around the corner did it for £20… said they’d do it for ‘a tenner’, but I handed over £20 with a smile as it was more of a PITA for them than they anticipated.

They compressed the spring and attached the upper spring seat first, which allowed them to release the tension and the spring pulled the damper out… they then clamped the damper tube, to stop the damper retracting, and compressed the spring again… which allowed easy fitment of the top mount, and correct alignment/seating of the spring - quite ingenious really.

Having seen how they needed to adapt with professional kit, I’m glad I didn’t try this one at home
