as long as you connected it on pin 5 and 11 on the actual radio unit, it should be fine. You can not connect it to the icelink one.

Was missing that Plug, dealer supplied black case, not the actual plug, luckily I had a spare.

Luckily no, but I needed a couple of screws and screw clamps, and remembered I had some with the bluetooth loom I bought off ebay.

What else was in there?

:headbang: never mind, I neen the inner to put the origional wires back.

I will post more of a write up tonight hopefully, and ask about the monitor position, as I think I might need to tweak a little.
 
It looks like one has black seats and the other has a grey middle insert and the seats are adjusted differently.
 
srhutch, I did not understand how you got your sound back.

I have the same symptoms as you do, I have tried reversing pins 5 and 11 (piggyback wires for now) but no avail. Music softens but no spoken instructions. Would you be so kind to explain what I need to do?

That was a retrofit and was missing the pins in the plug if I remember well.

I had the issue with the pins connected the wrong way around as I retrofitted the satnav in that car as well.

You mention piggy back, that sounds odd. Can you make them the sole cables and what else is on those points then?

As I retrofitted the system myself, I have the two single wires going to pins 5 and 11. Even if I swap cables, no sound. Radio softens but no spoken instructions.

I would really like my nav to speak!
 
Press the selector knob, select 'Instruction', press and hold the selector knob for a couple of seconds - the voice is now muted (the speaker symbol next to 'instruction' now shows a line through it)
