on a 2007 model (rectangular spot / fog lights) are there options in the UK to replace said spots with other items rather than BMW originals?

if so what price and how much adaption of the wiring?

I have an offside item needing replacing so it may be an opportune moment to replace the pair if suitable.............

As far as I know there are no direct replacements. On my old E85 the fog lights misted up and corroded the silver reflector. Option is to either split them and refurb them yourself, fairly easy job, or buy new ones from the stealers. They areas rare ashens teeth or hardly ever come up on ebay

or

You could also buy blank plastic covers if you wanted to get rid of them, if I remember someone did this recently, part numbers on realoem

thanks for that BMW offer a retrofit LED driving light - another £50 - but for a pair...

anyone tried this?

how much hassle was the wiring kit that comes with??

I drilled 3 small holes in the bottom edge of my misted up one - where the clear plastic is sealed (or not  ) to the metal body of the light, once dried out you can barely notice that the silver reflective surface has corroded as the foglights are so low down, it's only the misting that's obvious.
